Section 129
Arms should not be produced without a license

(1) No one shall manufacture or maintain arms or ammunition without obtaining a license or even if he has obtained a license in violation of the conditions and restrictions mentioned in the license. Explanation: For the purposes of this Code:
(a) "Arms" means cannon, mortar, armored car, machine gun, rifle, gun, pistol, revolver or any other device of a similar nature with or without ammunition and the term includes machinery for making arms, equipment and parts for arms; br> (b) "Machine Gun" means a Brengun, Lewisgun, Stegan, Machine Gun, Carbine, Tom's Machine Carbine, G.M.G., Short Machine Gun or any automatic weapon of a similar nature and that term includes machine guns, equipment and parts for machine guns; ,
(c) "Ammunition" means ammunition, caps, bullets, pellets, detonators, cartridges, fuses or other substances of a similar nature to be kept in arms.
(2) A person who commits or commits an offense under sub-section (1) will be punished with imprisonment for up to ten years and a fine of up to one lakh rupees, depending on the seriousness of the risk of possession of arms or ammunition.
